Therapy for Human Beings

in Portland, Oregon

Welcome to The Center for Being Human, the private practice of Ryan Brown, MA, LPC

Being human isn’t easy.

Maybe you’ve been feeling stuck in a fog of depression, unsure how to move forward. Maybe anxiety has kept you from showing up fully in your own life. Or maybe you’ve lost your sense of direction—struggling with purpose, identity, or how to belong.

Whatever brought you here, I’m glad you found your way.

My name is Ryan. I’m an existential-humanistic psychotherapist, and I help people navigate the deep questions of life with clarity, presence, and compassion. I work with individuals facing depression, anxiety, major life transitions, relationship and family challenges, career struggles, grief, burnout, and questions around meaning and identity. I also have specialized experience supporting LGBTQ+ clients and those exploring polyamory and consensual non-monogamy.

I believe therapy can be a space to rediscover what matters—to reconnect with your inner wisdom, make choices aligned with your values, and create a life that feels honest, fulfilling, and truly your own.

Wherever you are on your path, I’m here to walk with you.
